In 2015, scientists detected Gravitational Waves for the first time. My father was one of them. This is the story of 30 years of research, the discovery of a lifetime. We had the unique chance to shoot inside Virgo, the European Gravitational Waves observatory located in Pisa, Italy. Every shot is real.

WHAT WE HAVE TO SAY:

It's Friday morning and we have a stacked lineup of releases to share with you. To get things started, we have this incredible... cinematic music video accompanying the new release from Parisian producer, Zimmer. The new release captures a tone from the artist that we felt was extremely intimate—the sound design and the atmosphere of the track grows on you, little by little as it progresses further. Before you know it, you're riding a wave of emotional energy created by the artist himself.

The video captured the essence of the song wonderfully and according to the artists Soundcloud discography, this is the artists first original release of 2018, so don't forget to connect with the artist online so you can stay up to date on any future releases or updates! Enjoy.

A WORD FROM THE ARTIST:

"In 2015, scientists detect Gravitational Waves for the first time. My father was one of them. This is the story of 30 years of research, the discovery of a lifetime. I’ve been profoundly moved by the discovery, and Landing is an homage track to my father.

Gravitational waves are ripples in space-time. They are caused by the most violent events in the universe, like the fusion of two black holes. They happen million of light years away, yet are smaller than the size of an atom. It is mind-blowing we were able to detect them. Their Nobel prized discovery will allow us to observe the Universe in a way never before possible.

We had the unique chance to be able to shoot inside Virgo, the European Gravitational Waves observatory, located in Pisa, Italy. Everything we shot is real, I wanted to show this incredible machine that’s huge but very precise at the same time." - Zimmer

There are several things that immediately catch our attention with 'FREAKY GENIUS', the debut single from Nashville based duo BLAKE & JAKE. First off, you don't get the whole experience the first listen, this song will grow on you.

“Sometimes I get freaked out about how different G¥ is, but then I think back to that fact that we’ve never done anything the way it’s ‘supposed’ to be done. We’re the misfits.” - BLAKE

We love the energetic and soulful instrumentation, on the outside, the song has a lot of fun energy and creative elements that make this track extremely unique. Dissect even further and you're suddenly taken back by the rich lyricism and deeply rooted imagery—and that's when it finally hits you, once you click play, you're no longer in your world, you're in the GENIUS mind of BLAKE & JAKE.

“The hook is a tribute to the Genius that lives within us all. It’s also been a vessel for Jake and I to explore Peter Psylo and the Parmesan Pranksta, two of the characters we’re developing for G¥.” - BLAKE

If you dig the song, be sure to share it with your friends and don't forget to connect with the band online to stay up to date on any future releases or updates, enjoy!
