Newcomer and promising new producer demotapes shared his new single “closerthanthis” with us last week as part of bitbird's “Create Together” community compilation. And sure, we might come off bias, but demotapes—real name Parker Livingston—has been writing some of our favorite songs for years (under this and other projects like Cassette Tapes).

So naturally, it shouldn’t be a surprise when we say that “closerthanthis” is in fact our favorite release on the compilation. Not to take away from the incredible talent and lineup this community album has to offer.
